Our Strategic Plan

The FYCP PLAN

•    What is the strategic plan to accomplish our vision & mission?

  • To introduce young adults to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by showing them God’s love through support programs.
  • To equip young adults to live for Christ in today’s world through the practical teaching of Biblical principles.
  • To show young adults how to impact today’s world by exposing them to leaders, mentors, organizations and other resources that are already doing it.
  • To provide opportunities for young adults to connect with each other for support, encouragement & ministry together!
  • To work with local churches to develop ministries specifically designed for young adults where they can “plug in” & use their gifts to impact the body of Christ, grow spiritually and gain encouragement. FYCP believes it is vitally important that every believer be connected and serve in a local Bible preaching church! FYCP is not a substitute for the church but an arm of the local church.
  • To mobilize young adults to contribute & make a difference in the churches, communities & companies where they live & work.
  • To develop support programs that will assist young adults in the challenges that life creates. To train & assist them in the vocational, relational, financial, material & spiritual needs of life.

The FYCP PRIMARY TARGET GROUP

What group of people does FYCP primarily minister to?

  • The US Census (US Census 2010) surveyed the US population according to these age categories:
  • Under 18
  • 18 to 44
  • 45 to 64
  • 65 years & older
  • FYCP primarily focuses on young adults in these categories:
    • 18 to 24 – “Young Professionals in Training”
    • 25 to 44 – “Young Professionals in Service”
  • FYCP recognizes the basic social groups among these young adults:
    • Men & Women
    • Single & Married
    • Twenty Somethings (18 to 29)
    • Thirty Somethings (30 plus to also include the early to mid 40 somethings)

While FYCP realizes that all people are important & that everyone needs Jesus, this ministry has chosen to narrow it’s focus to a specific group, we affectionately call “Young Professionals.” This group is primarily described as those in their 20’s & 30’s living in those tough years of becoming an adult & establishing their life style, family & career! It is to these people & this specific time of their life that FYCP has chosen to focus it’s efforts & ministry.
